Knowing Students

First day of school-new faces-new names. Hopefully, the names and faces will match in my mind. But there's more to knowing the students than simply matching names and faces. Many factors beyond the classroom walls affect learning. To the journey of learning, children bring along "luggage". Packed inside their suitcases are the pieces of life that have been collected since birth. Each piece has a meaning and influences how the child sees, understands and interacts in the world.
